It is my great pleasure to anounce that the winner of the LPMG PotY 2008 Award has been chosen. The LPMG members have voted Chris Sargent the winner and recipient of the £500 first prize.
The London Photographic Meetup Group is one of the biggest, if not the biggest, London based photography club with over 1000 members from all over London and beyond. We hold multiple meetings every month; events planned to teach photographic skills with regular workshops, events that take you in and around London to practice your hobby with other members and purely social evenings where we can relax with friends over a beer or two. We run regular competitions, including the LPMG Photographer of the Year award, which this year offers a £500 prize to the lucky winner.
Events
The LPMG.ORG.UK meetup site has all the details of the official events we run. If you would like to join in with these events then pop over and join up. You'll immediately have access to a calendar with listings of all the latest official group events and will be notified of new events by e-mail as they are posted.
Along with the official events, we have a number of membrs who also organise events. If you fancy having a look at what other people are up to or if your off somewhere and fancy some company, then take a look at the Member Meetups board.

Thanks to perseverance by Alex, who managed to persuade a representative of the London Metro newspaper to come and visit, we've had a wonderful piece written about us. Thanks to all of you who came on the Banksy meet and made Jennifer feel so welcome.
